FAQs

When is the intensive?

Iasasthai Ballet Summer Intensive runs from June 23-July 11, 2025. Dancers will train Monday-Friday, 9:00am - 4:00pm, though the studios will open at 8:30am for those who would like more time to warm up before the day begins. IBSI Full Program Students have a choice between 3 attendance options. Students are highly encouraged to attend all three weeks to gain the most benefit from the program. However, if the student is not able to attend three weeks, they have two options. They may attend Week 1 only, which focuses on training. Or, they may attend Weeks 2-3 together, giving them the experience of professional rehearsals and outreach performances. IBSI Prep Students will attend Week 1 of IBSI only, from 9:00am-2:30pm. This is to give them an age-appropriate introduction to professional ballet, without burning them out at a young age.

How much is tuition?

Please see the Deadlines and Tuition graph under the Registration tab on our website for a complete breakdown.

Tuition is divided into 4 Deadline Tiers: Early Bird, Proactive, Regular, and Late. As we near the intensive, the tuition rates go up, so register as soon as possible for the lowest cost!

Does IBSI offer scholarships?

IBS

IBSI offers two 25% Scholarships that all full program students are eligible to apply for. Students may apply for one or both scholarships, and are welcome to apply with new material each year.

Please note, IBSI Prep is not eligible for these scholarships.  If your IBSI Prep student is in need of financial assistance, please contact us at iasasthaiballetsummerintensive@gmail.com and we will do our best to work

with you.

Who is able to attend?

The intensive is open to any student or aspiring dancer from the age of 6-18. Prior dance training is encouraged but by no means required. Though IBSI is a Christian-inspired intensive, dancers of all religions, walks of life, and cultures are welcome to attend. All dancers will be required to perform in the classical, contemporary, character, and choreography pieces in which they are casted. The worship pieces and Outreach Performances are open to all who wish to participate, and participation is encouraged. However, IBSI understands that not everyone shares the same beliefs and mission that is reflected in the worship pieces and Outreach performances. So, students who do not share the beliefs and mission will not be required or forced to participate. They will also not receive consequence for withdrawing from these specific activities.
